The Tongo Mini brings a different voice to the Zenzula collection, placing rhythm, pulse, and movement at the heart of the playing experience. Handcrafted in Mumbai from wood, metal, and reclaimed materials, it features 9 hand-shaped steel tines arranged in a specially developed A tuning that produces a bright, punchy, and naturally percussive sound. Unlike the more melodic character of the Zenzula range, the Tongo Mini encourages rhythmic exploration, inviting patterns and grooves to emerge naturally beneath the thumbs. Measuring approximately 6 inches (15 cm) in diameter, it sits comfortably in the hands and travels easily wherever inspiration strikes. Compact, tactile, and wonderfully intuitive, it offers an immediate connection to music that feels playful, energetic, and deeply satisfying. Whether played on its own or alongside other instruments, the Tongo Mini reminds us that music often begins not with melody, but with rhythm.

Every Zenzula begins its journey in the Mumbai workshop of Roots Production, creator of the Zenzula range of handcrafted instruments. Whether travelling across the city or across continents, each instrument is carefully packed and prepared to ensure it arrives safely at its new home.

Where We Ship

We ship worldwide and regularly send instruments to customers across Europe, North America, South America, Australia, Africa, Asia, and beyond. If your country appears during checkout, we can ship to you.

Processing Times

Standard Instruments
Ready-made instruments are usually dispatched within 2 business days of receiving your order.

Custom & Personalised Instruments
Because custom work is completed by hand, additional preparation time may be required.

  • Custom artwork: Please allow up to 2 additional business days.
  • Fully bespoke instruments: Please allow up to 3 additional business days.
  • Name engravings and simple personalisation generally do not add additional production time.

If we expect any significant delay, we will contact you directly.

Lost Shipments

In the unlikely event that a shipment is lost in transit, please contact us. We will work closely with the courier to investigate the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement or refund.

Damaged Deliveries

If your instrument arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and include photographs of both the packaging and the instrument. Depending on the circumstances, you may choose between a replacement or a refund.

Return, Refund & Replacement Policy

At Zenzula, we want you to genuinely connect with your instrument. Zenzula instruments are handcrafted by Roots Production, and we believe purchasing a handmade instrument should feel enjoyable, inspiring, and risk-free. If for any reason you feel that your Zenzula is not the right fit, you may return it within 15 days of delivery for a full refund. No explanations are required.

15-Day No-Questions-Asked Returns
You may return any standard Zenzula instrument within 15 days of receiving it. To arrange a return, simply contact us by email or WhatsApp with your order details and we will guide you through the process. Once the returned instrument has been received, a full refund of the purchase price will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the instrument arrives damaged, defective, or different from the item ordered. If you are unsure about return arrangements, please contact us and we will be happy to assist.

Custom & Personalised Instruments
Many Zenzulas are created as personalised or bespoke instruments. Custom artwork, engraved instruments, personalised messages, and other specially commissioned creations are produced specifically for individual customers and may not be eligible for return unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect. If you are uncertain whether your order qualifies as a custom instrument, please contact us before placing your order.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Orders
In the unlikely event that your instrument arrives damaged, defective, or different from the item ordered, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. Where possible, we will arrange a replacement at no additional cost. If a replacement is not available, or if you prefer not to receive a replacement, a full refund will be provided. Please include photographs of both the packaging and the instrument when contacting us, as this helps us resolve the issue more quickly.

Refund Processing
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Once the returned instrument has been received and inspected, please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to be processed. The time taken for funds to appear in your account may vary depending on your payment provider or financial institution.
